My Bio
Welcome visitors! I'm glad you stopped by. Please have a look at my gallery to view some interesting images I've created to try to bring fractals more into a real life form. The majority of these images were created by manipulating variables in mathematical formulas in a friendly user interface within the Mandelbulb 3D fractal program. I also create fractals with Apophysis and Fractal Explorer. Most images can be purchased as prints. And images not offered as prints can be set up for printing if you make a request.

Most of my images can also be licensed for use as CD cover art, book covers or web use.

I also wanted to say thanks to all my friends and visitors that have congratulated me for my recent work as a concept artist on the Marvel film, "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2".

No Eclipse for me

As of right now, I hate it. And I'm not going to pay for a core membership for something I DON'T LIKE. At the very least I'm dumping my core membership as soon as it runs out, and probably Deviantart altogether. They are catering to viewers that use phones over the members that provide the content. I stuck by the good and bad for almost ten years, but not this time. I don't even care if they never updated the original design again. Just leave it active, don't force something on us we don't want.

GOTG VOL 2 gets Shot at an Oscar

This wouldn't normally be anything to mention here. But having worked as a concept artist on "Guardians of the Galaxy vol 2", I am of course quite interested to see if Guardians 2 can snag an Oscar for visual effects. I am always quick to say that few - if any - of the 300 + concept images I sent to Marvel were used in their raw form in the film. However, a good majority of the eye candy on the planet Ego was based on, inspired or influenced by the images I submitted. Hello Hall, I learned a lot with your tutorials. But I still can't prevent my objects from being cut off when I walk towards them, especially in animation. What did I miss. Thanks

You have to make sure Fixed Zoom and Steps is NOT selected. You may also need a high Far plane setting, such as 500 or 1000... Let me now if that helps~

got you message about the same image -yes I just started with Fractal art fun to do and yes we both use Mandelbulb3d so there may be some images that are the same --I do not copy anyone -I do like your page awesome art

The parameters for the image you posted were included with the MB program as samples. The parameters are supplied to help people learn how different formulas interact and for users to experiment with. If someone posts something made from those parameters, and have changed nothing at all except a tiny bit on the lights, then that IS essentially a copy. You don't learn anything by doing that and it's not acceptable, which is why I brought it to your attention. Now I'm not mad about it or anything, it's just something you needed to be aware of.
