Wonderful piece!! The designs look amazing, so much detail!!
I like the gnarl twist..!!
Magnificent mix of golds and blues. Love the pod structure that almost looks like a beetle pupa! I've spent two evenings with your tutorials and I'm having a blast! This fractal is so incredibly cool to explore! Thanks!
Thanks a lot! If you have any questions on the tuts, just ask!
Will do - however, they seem really clear and useful, with practical advice to get one confident to explore on one's own. I think I have to revisit my old fractal account here and start posting a few of my finds. To me making fractals is so different from drawing or doing jewelry - I feel less like a creator and more like an explorer who comes back home from an amazing trip with a collection of really cool specimens. It's a really great change of pace.
Yes, I know what you mean. There is a lot of exploring in fractaling. But then when you do discover something, the urge to improve on it is what can make the experience more rewarding. I tweak and torture all the settings I can to see what a piece can become as opposed to what it is right then and there. Most pieces I've posted have 6 or 8 versions showing a sort of metamorphoses from one idea to the next... I'm also a woodworker so I know what you mean about fractals not being as 'physical' a medium. But they are all art forms, it's just the media that differs!
